2025 Solidarité inconditionnelle

Taysir

Regions: Montréal

Since 1996, Femmes du monde à Côte-des-Neiges has been a feminist, intersectional community organization working in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough. The organization supports women and non-binary people — particularly those who are racialized, immigrant, or with precarious status — in reclaiming their power, defending their rights, and participating in civic life.

With its project “Taysir”, the team is putting in place an approach rooted in radical solidarity, responding to the urgent needs of women and gender-diverse people with precarious status. The project combines direct support (essential aid kits, accompaniment, transit fares), the creation of safe spaces to break isolation, and meaningful structural transformation efforts.

In parallel, Taysir puts forward a decolonial, intersectional feminist accompaniment model, meant to be replicable in other contexts, to equip institutions and build solidarities grounded in dignity and justice.
