2025 Futurs émancipateurs Enough is enough: Solidarity with Rouyn-Noranda Regions: Abitibi-Témiscamingue Mères au front (MaF) is a decentralized movement bringing together mothers, grandmothers, and allies to protect the environment—essential to the health and safety of children. Active through 28 local groups, mostly based in Québec, the movement focuses on education, mobilization, and political pressure to ensure that all decisions are made through the lens of their ecological impact.With its campaign “Enough is enough: Solidarity with Rouyn-Noranda”, Mères au front aims to strengthen the capacity of its local group to support residents in their fight for clean air and a safe environment, in response to the toxic emissions from the Horne Smelter. The initiative seeks to further mobilize the Rouyn-Noranda community, MaF groups across Québec, and the broader public, while developing new partnerships and leading a powerful artistic campaign to raise awareness.
