Pathways to Emancipatory Futures: Unpacking Antisemitism and Antizionism for Inclusive Societies

Independent Jewish Voices (IJV) is a grassroots organization rooted in Jewish tradition, with 27 chapters across Québec and Canada. It works against all forms of racism and toward building communities grounded in justice and solidarity with Indigenous peoples here and abroad.

Through its initiative “Pathways to Emancipatory Futures: Unpacking Antisemitism and Antizionism for Inclusive Societies,” IJV offers educational and community-based programs, both in person and online, to deepen understanding of contemporary dynamics of antisemitism, the connections between antisemitism and antizionism, and the impacts on intercultural relations in Québec. The project aims to equip individuals and organizations to analyze these complex issues within an antiracist, anti-oppressive and feminist framework, in order to foster inclusion, solidarity and reconciliation.

It also seeks to create safer spaces to explore lived experiences and collectively reflect on how certain discourses can instrumentalize antisemitism, while developing tools to promote justice and peace.
