Building People’s Power: Québec–Latin America Dialogues on Emancipatory Futures

The CDHAL is dedicated to building solidarity between Québec and social movements in Latin America by raising awareness about human rights violations and actively supporting struggles for social justice through a feminist, ecological, and decolonial lens.

Recognizing the richness of knowledge emerging from the Global South—situated, rooted in struggle, and carrying hope—CDHAL’s initiative, “Building People’s Power: Québec–Latin America Dialogues on Emancipatory Futures,” aims to inspire social movements here, especially among youth, by drawing on Latin American experiences and ways of knowing.

It offers a space for mutual learning in service of social transformation, through hybrid participatory workshops, educational materials, and civic gatherings aimed at fostering engagement and strengthening international solidarity in response to ecological, economic, and social challenges.
